MARIA GRAZIA COCO, painter and sculptor, graduated from the Art Institute of Catania, always engaged in artistic research of new forms and expressive styles, in her works is characterized by the representation of human figures with shapes and profiles stylized, which, emphasized by the studied use of colors, express the intensity of emotions, feelings and bonds of life that overcame and overwhelm the limits of the body and shapes, blending in the movement and the fusion of souls. The curved lines express the dynamism of bodies that interweave and merge into a communion of feelings, embraces and intercourses, in which the theme of the Eros emerges as an unstoppable vital force that overwhelms and pushes our spirit into the unstoppable dance of Life. The oil paints, applied by brush and spatula, outline the clear shapes that emerge from the brilliant colors of the backgrounds, blue, red, crimson, orange, representing the plasticity of the figures, in a continuous push of expressive research, evident in her sculptural works, on wood or clay, in which to express the corporeality and interweaving of shapes and movements.

Since the '90s, Maria Grazia Coco has participated in several exhibitions, including: two editions of the "Eliodoro" Academic Art Exhibition at the Palazzo del Toscano in Catania (1997, 1998), the 26th National Painting and Graphic Competition "Cristoforo Marzaroli" in Salsomaggiore Terme (2002), the group exhibition "Katacloo" - Tales of Theater "at the Teatro Metropolitan in Catania (2004), the 1st National Festival "Tales of Sicily" in Bronte (2005), the group exhibition at the Galleria "Il Tempio" in Palermo (2007, 2008), the group exhibition "Styles at Comparison" at Palazzo Margutta in Rome (2008), the solo exhibition cured by the cultural association "PetraLavika" with mention in the "Katane" magazine (2009). Her works appear in the editions 2007 and 2008 of the Yearbook of Modern Art "Artistic Avanguard", and are present in private collections both in Italy and abroad.
